Advanced Temperature Controller

Real-Time Clock (RTC) with Battery Backup
The 19-Range controller relied on its AA batteries for both RTC and data logging.  If those batteries weren’t installed, the clock would reset on power loss, often leading to incorrect time settings and diagnostic challenges.
The 24-Range improves this by adding a dedicated coin-cell battery on the controller PCB to maintain the RTC independently of the AA batteries.  Even if the AA batteries (used for logging) are absent and mains power is removed, the clock remains accurate, just like a PC, ensuring reliable timestamps and easier troubleshooting.

Event-Based Logging
The previous minute-by-minute logging made it impossible to determine exact times or durations for events like door openings or alarms.
The 24-Range introduces event-based logging, capturing precise timestamps for door openings/closings, alarms, temperature excursions, and power outages.  This improves audit accuracy and provides service engineers with invaluable data for fault diagnosis.

Enhanced Temperature Safety: T3 Sensor & Low-Temperature Cut

The 24-Range goes beyond standard safety by adding a dedicated T3 sensor at the bottom of the chamber, where cold spots are most likely to occur if airflow is compromised (e.g blocked or faulty fan).  When T3 detects temperatures nearing 2°C, the system intelligently pauses the compressor to prevent freezing, protecting valuable samples without triggering a disruptive shutdown.

Unlike conventional fridges that alarm and stop cooling, risking temperatures soaring above 8°C, the 24-Range keeps operating, maintaining the critical 2 °C to 8 °C range even under fault conditions.  This smart safeguard ensures continuous compliance, zero downtime, and maximum sample integrity, giving you peace of mind when it matters most.

Bluetooth Data Access

Data retrieval is now simpler.  Instead of downloading CSV files via SD card (as in the 19-Range), the 24-Range uses Bluetooth connectivity and a mobile app for instant graphing of current and historical data.  Users can link event logs to temperature graphs for precise analysis.

Improved Load Simulation

The T2 “wandering probe” now comes pre-fitted in a dry load, simulating a 5 mL aqueous sample, providing a more realistic load temperature reading.
Unlike the 19-Range, customers no longer need to create their own dummy load, reducing setup errors and improving compliance.

New Power Supply

The digital lock is factory fitted and completely solves the problem of lost and generic pharmacy fridge keys, putting you in control of who has access.
